about
hi! we’re katie, jessica + shannon. three women who met in a support group for families of those with substance use disorders. every wednesday night we’d meet at a local treatment facility with a dozen other strangers and share the dark details of our most intimate relationships. in this space, we were able to see that while we felt alone dealing with the chaos of our spouse’s active use we weren’t. at all. when the group setting wasn’t enough we’d go out for a girls' night to further spill our tea and gain insight from someone else that had been in the same spot.
this sisterhood continues to grow as we now support each other through the many phases of our lives - marriage, children, and our careers. we navigate how to be our “normal” selves while supporting our loved ones with recovery, how to protect our children, and how to love and care for ourselves when we feel like it least.
in 2019 we launched our podcast, boy problems, where we took the private conversations we were having and shared them with anyone who felt the need to listen. in 2021 we created our sister brand, recovering too - which is how we’ll continue to expand our community to others feeling alone in this journey. we know the special bond that can form from asking for a hand. we’d love to lend one to you. we’re recovering too.
